The Lady Outlaw's Biography

Scribe, The Lady Outlaw
AKA Mrs. Susan M. Schulz-Jelley

The history of this Lady Outlaw is rather simple. I was born in the roughneck town of Houston in the midst of the 60's, but grew up in Texas' final frontier, Andrews County. A resident since 1972, I grew up with small town values and big city dreams, eventually going out into the world to participate in a variety of professions, cultures and societies.
After a short stint at reporting at the Andrews County News right after high school, I worked at KACT-Radio for four years and had a heckuva good time playing Country/Western music for the inmates of Andrews County. After a year of junior college in Odessa, I moved on to Lubbock and Texas Tech University where I joined the Goin' Band from Raider Land as a flag twirler and as the Baritone Queen of Sigma Kappa Alpha Tau Mu Alpha Nu (SKATMAN), the Society of Baritones! I was also honored to become one of the 24 members of the Beta Psi Pledge Class of the founding Beta Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, the National Women's Honorary Band Sorority, where I served as the creator and first editor of the Beta Bulletin Chapter Newsletter.
After graduating with degrees in English Literature, Theatre and Speech Education, I taught two years in a Panhandle Hell-Hole near Amarillo before returning to Andrews. After three years as the Family News Editor of the Andrews County News, I found myself suddenly back teaching Theatre at Andrews High School, but I came to my senses and retired from teaching permanently that following spring. I returned to my former job as Family News Editor in July, 1997, GRATEFULLY leaving that position in March 2000, and am now employed as a Writer/Producer, Script Editor, Production Assistant and Web Master for Kaien-Indigo Publishing Company, Inc., soon to be based in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Recently married to my best friend, John P. Jelley (aka "Kid Canadian"), I've finally followed him North of the Border to
Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. I am currently doing the housewife
thang and just chillin' in these mountains and groovin' on the view of the
Pacific Ocean.

Artistically, I am still trying to finish up my second book,
Carolina Winters,
a tale of the wild, wild west and what it could do to a gal.
I am also researching various topics for future projects, and am doing the final edit on a romance novel I've been writing for literally 20 years!

My family consists of my mother, Kathleen Sue, and my siblings Pamela Dianne, Patrick Michael, Gary Phillip and Leroy Hermann, Jr.
Pam just recently moved from Niceville, Fla. back to Texas with her husband, Mike. Their awesome kids are Jennifer Suzanne and Christopher Michael. They have ten thousand cats and a hundred American Bulldogs. Their dog Dakota is a DONKEY GIRLSCOUT!! *LOL* Chris is now in the Air Force and working on bombers, and Jennifer is recently married to Derek the Oily Variety Bohunk, and they're fixin' to have a kid of their own in January!
Patrick and his wife, Anne, live in Andrews County with their crazed collie Pepper and their infinitely more sane Labrador Retriever Coco.
Gary and his gal Misty live in Denver, Colorado with Gary's two wild ones, Kevin and Kyle.
Leroy is a swingin' bachelor who spends most of his time playing video games,
bowling, twangin' on his axe (an awesome Ibaņez guitar), watching WWE Raw and Smackdown, and basically doing whatever bachelors do (like drinking lots of Steveweisers!
*LOL).
Since I had to make a major move north, I was only able to bring with me two of my super-duper outlaw kitties, a cool Calico kitty named Sassy (aka "Sassenfuss") and a little sable Siamese Texas Buzzsaw named Little Chyna (as in, "Big Trouble in . . ." *LOL*).
I had to leave behind my grey tabby Little Man (aka "Little Mankind") because he's such a little chickenpuss and freaks if he even thinks someone might make him go outside.
I have just recently acquired a gorgeous Siamese kitten who has been named "Princessa" (aka "Chessa the Molesta" or "Chewbacca")
The day after
Kid and I moved into our first new home, we got a call from the pet store saying they finally had a baby Schnauzer for sale, and that is when we added
Miss Daisy to our household. A few months later, we were given a Silkie Yorkie fellow named Teddy, and together they created a brood of Schnorkies like the world has never seen! We kept three of the puppies and are now overrun with their bunkitude!! The boys are named Xander and Spike, and the little girl is Willow.
We gave the other girl, Buffy, to John's mother and sister, where she has begun
to rule the roost in true Schnauzerly fashion.
I hope you enjoy The Lady Outlaw's Hideout, and sincerely hope you've found all the information you need to fulfill your outlaw dreams!
